Sembcorp is embarking on a major transformation of the company, at the core of this transformation are Digital technologies and methods. Central to the digitization of Sembcorp is data/analytics. Data and analytics will be in everything we do, from plant design and operations to building a direct to consumer retail business. As a result Sembcorp is looking to hire a global team of data scientists to establish and drive strategy in collaboration with our business, functional and market leaders.


• Apply machine learning technique to provide insight and foresight into
utility process trend
• Work closely with the engineering domain experts with the richest data sets
available from utility processing plant to solve real life problem
• Select and implement best technologies and state of the art algorithm based on
your experience and judgement
• Conduct design and code reviews
• Analyse and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various


• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Applications or related field with
relevant exposure to machine learning / data science
• About 2-3 years of experience in machine learning coding with a strong track
• Experience in deep learning models development would be an advantage
• Experience in interconnection work between the developed models and the user
interface is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of working with scalable platforms for processing of huge
data sets
• Ability to build and maintain innovative products from the ground-up
• Good in solving complex integration issues
• Team player with good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
