Senior Vice President, Commercial

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Develop financing plan, source for, negotiate and secure project financing facilities and facilitate /manage relationships with commercial lenders and other financial partners, including multilaterals and ECAs
- Lead / direct the structuring, due diligence, risk analysis and mitigation for transactions
- Supervise financing modelling work
- Structure transactions for transfer to the infrastructure fund with returns and underlying assumptions meeting requirements
- Drive and execute acquisitions and divestments
- Lead or act as key member of transaction teams
- Supervise and validate financial viability of new investment projects
- Support the internal approvals process including interfacing with BUs, Risk, Legal and other departments/functions, as well as SMC and the Board
- Assist BUs, where required, to formulate decision -making trees for solving commercial issues with their clients or develop optimal investment structure, supported by legal/tax/finance

Qualification and Technical Skills:

- at least 15 years’ experience, with at least 10 years in a lead capacity in project financing/M&A execution
- Successfully close projects /investments regionally and of value exceeding S$1B
- Accounting and excel modeling
- Comprehensive knowledge of energy/utilities sectors
