SembCorp Industries wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary SembCorp Waste Management (SembWM) has subscribed for 1,488,000 ordinary shares of A$100 each, representing 40 per cent of the share capital in SembSITA Pacific, on May 31, 2000.

Pursuant to Clause 903(2) of the Listing Manual of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, SembCorp Industries wishes to announce that at the Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held on June 5, 2000, the proposed resolutions as set out in the Notices of the Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting were duly passed, without any modification.

On April 28, 2000, the Safe & Mansfield Travel Group (SMTG) signed a sale and purchase agreement to sell its travel and travel-related businesses in Singapore to Safe2Travel.com, a joint venture to be established between Pacific Internet's Pacfusion.com and Asia Pacific Retail Concepts (APRC), for a sum of $10 million.

SembCorp Industries wishes to announce that following its news release issued on April 6, 2000 that SembCorp Waste Management (SembWM) was set to acquire 40 per cent of Pacific Waste Management (PWM), the signing of the PWM sales and purchase agreement between Waste Management Inc and SITA did not take place at the expected time due to further discussions between the parties.

On April 6, 2000, Sembcorp Waste Management (SembWM) entered into a conditional joint venture with its French partner SITA for the acquisition of US-based Waste Management Inc's (WMI) Australian subsidiary Pacific Waste Management (PWM).

Pte Ltd (JTIC), will not involve a preferential offering to the shareholders of SembCorp Marine.

The Board of Directors of SembCorp Marine Ltd (SCM) wishes to announce that its subsidiary, Jurong Technologies Industrial Corpn. Pte Ltd (JTIC), has obtained in-principle approval from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST) for a listing on the Mainboard of the SGX-ST.
