With reference to the Company’s announcement released today, the Company wishes to clarify that the settlement was reached with Allseas in London on 11th March and is only in relation to all of Sembawang’s counterclaims against Allseas and one claim by Allseas against Sembawang.

PPL Shipyard, a subsidiary of SembCorp Marine has signed a rig building contract worth US$121 million with Wilsuperior Ltd, a subsidiary of Awilco Offshore ASA (AWIL) for the construction of a Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 Deep Drilling Offshore Jack Up Rig.

Jurong Shipyard, a subsidiary of SembCorp Marine has been awarded an approximately US$50 million (S$82 million) contract from Houston-based Atlantia Offshore. This base contract amount is for the fabrication of Atlantia’s new deep draft semi-submersible hull design for the Independence Hub gas-processing platform in the ultra deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Sembawang Shipyard, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SembCorp Marine, in partnership with Huisman Special Lifting Equipment B.V. (Huisman), has secured a US$150 million contract from SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad, Malaysia, to design and construct a Self-Propelled DP2 Heavy Lift Derrick Pipelay Vessel.

It is with profound sadness that I inform you that our Deputy Chairman and CEO, Mr Wong Kok Siew passed away peacefully this afternoon. Mr Wong had been in critical care since Monday evening.
