PPL Shipyard, a subsidiary of SembCorp Marine has signed another rig building contract with Deep Drilling Invest Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sinvest ASA of Norway for the construction and delivery of a Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 Deep Drilling Offshore Jack-Up Rig at a contract price of US$141.1 million.

Following a competitive bidding process, SembCorp Utilities (SembUtilities), a fully owned subsidiary of SembCorp Industries, has been short listed and ranked first of two short listed bidders for the privatisation of an Independent Water and Power Plant (IWPP) in Fujairah, UAE by the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA).

The Board of Directors of SembCorp Marine Ltd (SCM) wishes to announce that the company has signed an agreement to increase the registered capital of its associated company, Cosco Shipyard Group (CSG) by RMB 750,000,000 from RMB 598,776,205.26 to RMB 1,348,776,205.26. The increase is subject to the People’s Republic of China’s regulatory approval.

Sembawang Shipyard, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SembCorp Marine, has secured a S$88 million contract from Bergesen Worldwide Offshore to convert the Ultra Large Crude Carrier, BW Enterprise to an FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage & Offloading).

SembCorp Utilities (SembUtilities), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SembCorp Industries, has strengthened its presence in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park (NCIP) in China by acquiring 34.47 per cent of an equity joint venture, NCIP Utilities Co. Ltd (NCIPUC).

PPL Shipyard, a subsidiary of SembCorp Marine has secured a rig building contract with Aban Singapore Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Aban Loyd Chiles Offshore Ltd of India or the construction of a Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 Deep Drilling Offshore jack-up rig for US$175 million.
