Sembcorp Marine wishes to announce that its subsidiary, Jurong Shipyard, has reached agreement with BNP Paribas for a full and final amicable settlement of their claim of US$50.7 million, strictly on commercial basis.

Sembcorp Marine is pleased to announce the award of an evergreen favoured customer contract (FCC) from International Gas Transportation Company Limited (IGTC) to provide repairs, upgrades and other marine services for its fleet of LNG ships which are operated by North West Shelf Shipping Service Company Pty Ltd (NWSSSC) on behalf of the North West Shelf Venture participants, BHP Billiton Petroleum Pty Ltd, BP Australia Shipping Pty Ltd, Chevron Australia Transport Pty Ltd, Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Downstream Services Pte Ltd, Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd and Woodside Petroleum Holdings Pty Ltd.

Jurong Shipyard, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, has secured an approximately S$200 million contract to convert the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) tanker, the MV “PSVM” (ex Bourgogne), to a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel for MODEC.

Sembcorp Industries wishes to announce that the Third Quarter 2008 financial results will be released on Friday, November 7, 2008 after trading hours.

Sembcorp has signed a Master Agreement to invest in its third industrial township project in China and its first in South China, the Guangxi-Singapore Industrial Park.
