Sembcorp Marine is pleased to announce that the Award of Contract signed between its subsidiary Jurong Shipyard and Seadrill Limited to build the 4th unit of the ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling is now effective at a contract value of US$640 million.

Sembawang Shipyard Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, has secured a S$100 million contract from Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering (DEME) to construct a 19,000 tonnes DP2 fallpipe vessel for its subsidiary company, Tideway.

Jurong Shipyard, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, has secured a 2nd rig order from Atwood Oceanics Pacific Limited (“AOPL”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atwood Oceanics Inc. (Houston based International Offshore Drilling Contractor – NYSE ATW) to build a deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig with an option for an additional 3rd unit.

PPL Shipyard, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, has secured two contracts from Seadrill Management (S) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Seadrill Limited to build two units of the Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 Deep Drilling Offshore Jack-up rigs with a total value of US$430 (S$589) million.
