Sembcorp Marine wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd, has terminated its contract with Petroprod D&P I Ltd for the construction of a jack-up rig as milestone payments due under the contract have not been received.

Sembcorp’s joint venture in Australia, SITA Environmental Solutions (SITA), has won the inaugural Award for Waste Management Company of the Year, announced at the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Industrial Technologies Awards Banquet, held in Singapore on August 20.
