Sembcorp Marine’s subsidiary Jurong Shipyard has secured a US$346 million contract to build a second semi-submersible well intervention rig for Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. (Helix), a market leader in subsea well intervention services. Scheduled for delivery in mid-2016, the semi-submersible light well intervention rig will be built based on a design jointly developed by Sembcorp Marine Technology Pte Ltd (SMTP)

Sembcorp is pleased to announce the expansion of its water business in China's Liaoning province with two new wastewater treatment projects in industrial parks in Panjin city. Its wholly-owned subsidiary Sembcorp China will sign agreements later today for new wastewater treatment projects in Panjin City's Panjin Fine Chemical Industrial Park and Panjin Liaodong Bay New District.

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) announces that its joint venture in Oman, Sembcorp Salalah Power & Water Company (Sembcorp Salalah), which owns and operates the Salalah Independent Power and Water Plant (Salalah IWPP), will be launching an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Muscat Securities Market on August 28, 2013. Sembcorp Salalah will be offering 33,410,019 existing ordinary shares, representing 35% of its issued share capital. The shares will be priced at OMR1.59 (approximately S$5.17) per share.

The Board of Directors of Sembcorp Marine is pleased to appoint Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican as Deputy Chairman of Sembcorp Marine.

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) today reported a net profit of S$342.2 million and turnover of S$4.8 billion for the first half of 2013 (1H2013), compared to S$367.4 million and S$5.1 billion respectively in the corresponding period last year (1H2012). Sembcorp’s main profit contributors continued to be its Utilities and Marine businesses, which contributed 53% and 39% of Group net profit respectively.

Reference is made to Sembcorp Marine's ("the Company") announcement dated 29 June 2012 relating to an appeal filed by the Company to the Court of Appeal pertaining to the High Court's decision on the Company's claims agains PPL Holdings in Suit 351/2010/H. The Court of Appeal has today released its decision in favour of Sembcorp Marine.

Sembcorp Marine’s PPL Shipyard has secured additional orders for two turnkey contracts worth a combined value of US$417 million from repeat customer Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (“Oro Negro”) for the construction of two units of jack-up rigs.
