People development is a key focus at Sembcorp. We developed the My Career Journey @ Sembcorp framework, which comprises three aspects, to identify, develop and deploy employees to take on roles across the organisation

1.Strategic Workforce Planning

By mapping out growth areas within Sembcorp, we can ensure that the right people with the right skills are in the right place.

2.Competency Framework

The competencies and behaviours expected of Sembcorp employees are spelt out at every stage, from recruitment and assessment, to development and career progression, so every employee knows what is expected of him or her.

3.Development Journeys

There are many ways to develop and learn at Sembcorp. Employees pick up skills through on-the-job learning, exposure and formal training. They can also gain international exposure through job rotations and attachments in different cultural and operational settings. All employees are encouraged to attend professional courses relevant to their roles.
