Sino-Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island
Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province, which pursues rapid economic growth through science and technological advancement. With one of the country’s largest populations of tertiary graduates per year, Nanjing has always been a national centre of commerce, education, research, transportation and tourism in the eastern China region, preceded only by Shanghai. The province is also a flagship for the country’s green development.
Sino-Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island (SNEI) is set to showcase the future of Nanjing and a world-class demonstration area for artificial intelligence and water science and technology research and development, design and application.
SNEI is situated on an island, Jiangxinzhou, a National Grade ‘AA’ scenic island 6.5 kilometres from downtown Nanjing. It is to be developed as an innovative and sustainable growth area in Nanjing’s new central business district for high-tech, creative, software and eco-environmental services sectors to thrive. It will also offer an entirely one-of-its-kind island lifestyle where you can live, work and learn.

Sino-Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island
Half the island will be conserved for eco-tourism, in line with the ecologically-conscious emphasis of the development, while the rest will be developed for office, commercial (retail) and high-end residential use amid water canals and lush greenery.
Sembcorp is developing the Nanjing International Water Hub (NIWH) on the island. The water hub will offer industrial office space for lease to companies involved in the water value chain covering water technology development and innovation, engineering and commercialisation activity. The NIWH will also house more than five laboratories for tenants’ use with services equipped to support laboratory tests of technology readiness levels (TRL) one to nine. Conference facilities will form part of the NIWH to support the NIWH as a leading venue for exchanges on industry ideas and best practices. The NIWH will be completed by 2018.
