Kendal Industrial Park
The economy of Indonesia is dominated by the island of Java, where the country’s two largest domestic markets of Jakarta (West Java) and Surabaya (East Java) are located. To balance out social and economic development across Java island, the Indonesian government has elected to push for growth in the Central region, with Kendal Industrial Park (KIP) leading the support for this national strategy.
KIP is situated within Indonesia’s fifth largest commercial city of Semarang in Central Java, where it sits in close proximity to Tanjong Emas, Indonesia’s third deepest sea port 25 kilometres away.
Within KIP are 4 themed industrial clusters – a Furniture Hub, Food City, Fashion City, and Building Materials Zone. Each cluster houses companies along the supply chain to reap agglomeration gains that will lower costs, and enable sharing of knowledge and specialized services. KIP is also the only industrial park on Java Island to be recognised with Special Economic Zone status, which translates into both fiscal and non-fiscal benefits.

Kendal Industrial Park
The KIP is an integrated township and industrial park. There are separately zoned industrial, commercial and residential areas.
Its waterfront access to the Java Sea, is an advantage for heavy industries like steel manufacturing. Ready-built factories as well as large land plots are available.
