Sembcorp today opens its first industrial water reclamation plant in China capable of producing 20,000 cubic metres per day of industrial water and up to 4,000 cubic metres per day of demineralised water for supply to customers in the Zhangjiagang Free Trade Port Zone.

The Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Co (VSIP JV) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province to conduct the comprehensive feasibility study of a 1,020-hectare integrated township and industrial park in central Vietnam’s Quang Ngai province.

Sembcorp’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Industrial Parks, is co-developing a 1,000-hectare innovation park. The Singapore-Sichuan Hi-tech Innovation Park is located in the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone’s south park within the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.

The winners of the Sembcorp Water Technology Prize 2010/2011, an inaugural national competition sponsored by Sembcorp Industries and co-organised by PUB – Singapore’s national water agency, Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Singapore Membrane Technology Centre (SMTC) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP), were announced today at the Young Water Professionals Networking Reception cum Award Presentation held as part of the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).
