Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary Sembcorp Utilities has entered into a non-binding term sheet with its local Indian partner, Gayatri Energy Ventures Pte Ltd (GEVPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Gayatri Projects Limited (GPL), to acquire the remaining 5.95% stake in Sembcorp Energy India Limited (SEIL). Following the completion of the proposed acquisition, Sembcorp will become the sole owner of SEIL.

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) posted a net profit of S$262 million for the first nine months of 2019 (9M2019), up 9% from S$241 million in 9M2018. Turnover was S$7.3 billion compared to S$9.1 billion in 9M2018, mainly due to lower revenue recognition from rigs and floaters and offshore platform projects for the Marine business.

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) and global financial institution UBS are pleased to announce that they have signed a long-term solar energy deal in Singapore. As part of this deal, Sembcorp will provide locally-sourced renewable power to support UBS Singapore’s operations over the next ten years.

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) and Cache Logistics Trust (Cache) are pleased to announce the successful on-target completion of a 8.0 megawatt-peak rooftop solar farm built, owned and operated by Sembcorp at three logistics warehouses in Singapore owned by Cache. All three systems have been connected to Cache’s facilities and are currently in operation.
