New Independent Director Appointed to Sembcorp Industries Board

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lim Ming Yan as a non-executive and independent director with effect from today.
Mr Lim is Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation and Chairman of Workforce Singapore, a statutory board of Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower that oversees the transformation of the local workforce and industry for economic growth. Well regarded as a progressive business leader, Mr Lim also served as President & Group CEO of CapitaLand Limited. He was also chief executive officer of The Ascott Limited and spent a decade leading CapitaLand’s growth and expansion in China.
Mr Lim holds a first class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics as well as an honorary doctorate from the University of Birmingham, UK. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, USA.
