Sembcorp Energy UK Brings New 50MWh Battery Energy Storage System Online

Sembcorp Energy UK (SEUK) has commenced operations for our 50MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

Located in the south east of England, this new BESS now brings SEUK’s total operational battery capacity to 120MWh, which helps ensure the resilience of the electricity network and further enable the increasing growth of renewables that will help the UK achieve its Net Zero target.

As one of the largest battery owners and operators in the UK, we continue to help propel our global Brown to Green strategy and are dedicated to building a more sustainable future.
