Coexisting with Wildlife at Tengeh

March 17, 2022

At Sembcorp, we are committed to protecting the ecosystems in the areas that we operate in. Over at Tengeh Reservoir, we consulted environmental groups and carried out environmental impact studies before deploying our 60MWp large-scale floating solar farm.

As such, you won’t just find 122,000 solar panels on the water, but also a variety of wildlife living in harmony with our facility. You may be surprised to learn that a hive of animal activity surrounds our solar panels!

Check out the descriptions below of the wildlife that coexist with us at our floating solar farm at Tengeh.

We monitor the water quality regularly to ensure that our project has minimal impact on the reservoir’s biodiversity. This way, we protect the flora and fauna of our water catchment area while providing clean energy and sustainable growth for our communities.
