Advancements in technology have turned solar energy into an increasingly viable source of renewable energy. By harnessing the scalability and flexibility of this resource, solar power can cater to diverse energy demands across various sectors.
Gross solar capacity*
As a leading provider of solar energy in Asia, Sembcorp offers a full suite of solutions including ground-mounted, rooftop and floating solar photovoltaic systems. We are a fully integrated solar developer with key capabilities spanning business and project development, asset management to digital analytics.
Singapore
In Singapore, we are the largest homegrown renewable energy player with a solar portfolio of over 1GWp in operation and under development. Our capabilities span rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating systems, including three inland floating solar farms. These projects reflect our expertise in building world-class projects. Beyond local projects, we also support the governments in Southeast Asia, China and India in achieving their clean energy goals.

China
In China, we leverage our development capabilities to integrate solar solutions within the existing ecosystems. Our solar energy system in Shandong promotes aquaculture growth and increases energy yield, supporting sustainable marine farming.

India
In India, we are a leading renewable energy player with a well-diversified portfolio that includes some of our largest utility-scale solar projects, such as our 528MWp solar farm and a 300MW solar project in Rajasthan. Through greenfield developments which include complex hybrid renewables projects, combined with strategic acquisitions, we are growing our renewables capacity to support India’s clean energy targets.

Indonesia
In Indonesia, we expanded into the hybrid renewables segment with a 50MW solar plant supported by a 14.2MWh battery energy storage system in Nusantara. Developed with PT PLN Nusantara Renewables, the project reached commercial operations in just six months and supplies renewable energy to Nusantara. Recognised as a Green Flagship Project, it marks the first utility-scale integrated solar and energy storage project in Nusantara.

Oman
In the Middle East, we achieved the commercial operation of the Manah II Solar Independent Power Project in Oman, more than four months ahead of schedule. This marks our first greenfield renewables development in the Middle East. With an installed peak capacity of 588MW, it is our largest utility-scale solar farm in our global renewables portfolio.

Vietnam
In Vietnam, we are supporting the nation’s Power Development Plan 8 and our Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) developments through renewable energy solutions. Our solar portfolio in Vietnam delivers 288MW of clean energy through utility-scale solar assets and roof-top solar projects for commercial and industrial customers, powering the transition to a resilient, sustainable future.
